Definition

Live Q&A is the feature that allows attendees to ask questions in real time during a session via smartphone, without using a physical microphone. Questions can be upvoted by the audience and moderated before being shown to the speaker.

Details and formula

Typical flow:

1. Attendee opens the app or scans QR

2. Writes the question (max 280 chars)

3. Other attendees vote on visible questions

4. Moderator approves/rejects

5. Approved questions appear on the speaker's display (or dedicated in-room screen)

6. Top-voted questions are addressed first

Context and typical ranges

Advantages over traditional microphone: no public speaking anxiety (3–5× more questions), democratic prioritization, written trace of all questions for post-event follow-up, moderation possibility to avoid off-topic or aggressive questions.
